May 24 (Reuters) - Following are security developments in Iraq at 2349 on Thursday:

FALLUJA - A suicide car bomb targeting mourners at a funeral killed at least 27 people and wounded more than 30 others in Falluja, 50 km (35 miles) west of Baghdad, hospital and police officials said.

*TIKRIT - A U.S. soldier was shot dead in Diyala Province.

*SALAH AD DIN - One U.S. soldier was killed and another wounded when a roadside bomb hit their vehicle.

HDAD - Gunmen stopped a minibus at a fake checkpoint in a Shi'ite district on Baghdad's northern outskirts on Thursday and killed all 11 passengers, police said. A bomb hidden among the bodies then exploded, killing two civilians and wounding four people, including two policemen.

BAGHDAD - A suicide car bomber killed one soldier and wounded two others at an Iraqi army checkpoint in the Iskan district of western Baghdad, police said.

BAGHDAD - A suicide bomber wearing an explosive vest blew up himself inside a minibus, killing one passenger and wounding five in the Shaab district of northern Baghdad, police said.

KHAN BANI SAAD - At least six people were killed when gunmen opened fire on local residents at Nahr al-Bustan, a village near Baquba, 65 km (40 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

BAQUBA - Police said they had found the bodies of three people who had been shot in Baquba.

BAGHDAD - At least two people were killed and 15 wounded when a roadside bomb exploded near a group of day labourers in Baghdad's Shi'ite Sadr City district, police said.

SULAIMAN BEK - Six policemen were killed and six wounded when a roadside bomb exploded near their patrol in the town of Sulaiman Bek, 250 km north of Baghdad, police said.

ANBAR - Two U.S. soldiers were killed in combat on Wednesday in Anbar Province, the U.S. military said.

NEAR KIRKUK - Saboteurs set an oil well on fire in a town near Kirkuk in northern Iraq, police said.
