Training Description
To what extent does peace building work contribute to sustainable processes and structures of social change? How can efforts in peace building be planned in order to be most effective? And how can success be defined and measured in this field of work? These questions will be put centre-stage at these two training modules.
Experience and lessons learned from the Reflecting on Peace Practice Project (RPP) will be used as a tool for project planning, monitoring and assessment.
What is included in the cource fee?
Each organisation covers the cost of transportation to and from Härnösand. For members of Swedish NGOs and their partners, Sida will cover venue, meals and other costs related to the course. Participants from other organisations and actors will need to pay actual cost for lodging and meals.

Intended Audience
The main target group for the course includes staff from Swedish NGOs – both from headquarters and field offices – and their partners in the South. Targeted organisations include peace organisations and organisations and other relevant actors working with development cooperation. Staff from other European and international organisations and institutions may also apply.
The training will be split into two parts: a basic and in-depth module.
The basic module (SEP 091) will offer an introduction to RPP and introduce the main concepts and frameworks.
The in-depth module (092) is targeted at staff who have attended the basic module or have had previous training and/or already used RPP in their practical work. This module will give the opportunity to discuss questions and challenges of application
