I. PRIORITIES / KEY HIGHLIGHTS

- The number of people affected by the floods has reached 2,155,386; reported deaths stand at 282.

- The Government announced two new decrees enabling faster evacuation, as required, and the use of heavy machinery for infrastructure rehabilitation.

- Increased rainfall is expected until the end of December.

- Following discussion between the Government and the Humanitarian Coordinator, a small UNDAC team has been put on pre-alert with a view to supporting the work of the National Crisis Center which is coordinating the response efforts.
