Donors' Conference on Eastern Sudan pledges three billion dollars

The International Donors' Conference on Eastern Sudan development that concluded Thursday in Kuwait., saw external donors and the Sudan government pledge three billion US dollars.

The advisor to President of the Republic, Musa Mohamed Ahmed, confirmed to Radio Miraya the formation of a mechanism comprising governments of Sudan, Kuwait, European Union and the United Nations in order to supervise the implementation of developmental projects. Musa pointed out that they will make sure the donated money is spent on developmental projects in eastern Sudan.
