This report was issued by OCHA Kenya with information received from the Government of Kenya, Kenya Red Cross Society (KRCS), and media reports. It covers the period from 9-26 March 2010. The next report will be issued in accordance with developments on response.

I. HIGHLIGHTS

- An estimated 25 people die from flood-related incidents since onset of rains in March

- More than 11, 548 people affected; families return home after flood waters recede

- Preparedness efforts enhanced through public awareness campaigns and prepositioning of stocks

- Enhanced rainfall expected in April 2010
