RAINFALL SITUATION IN THE COUNTRY

ARUNACHAL PRADESH

- Heavy to very heavy rainfall with isolated extremely heavy falls have been reported in the State.

- No human death has been reported in the State during last 24 hours.

- Due to heavy rainfall, several landslides are reported to have occurred resulting disruption in vehicular movements.

- Telecommunication, power supply and road linkages has been widely disrupted in several villages due to landslding.

- 02 MI-17 helicopters deployed for rescue and relief operations.

ORISSA

- Light to moderate rainfall has been reported in the State.

- No human death has been reported in the State during last 24 hours.

- About 14.75 lakh population in 1768 villages have been affected.

- 43236 people have been evacuated from the affected districts.

- 368 relief camps continue to be in operation in which about 14.68 lakh people have been accommodated.

- 368 boats and ODRAF teams & 47 medical teams continued to be deployed.

ASSAM

- Light to moderate rainfall has been reported in some parts of the State.

- No human death has been reported in the State during the last 24 hours.

- In 03 districts, 3,08,995 people are reported to have been affected.

- 06 relief camps continue to be in operation in the affected areas in which about 8,210 people have been accommodated.

- 33 Health Centres continue to be in operation in the affected areas for providing medical care.

- 05 teams of NDRF continue to be deployed.

WEST BENGAL

- Light to moderate rainfall has been reported in the State.- No human death has been reported in the State during the last 24 hours.

- In 02 districts, about 35.31 lakh people are reported to have been affected in the State.

- 1491 relief camps continue to be in operation in which about 3,69,250 people have been accommodated.

- 02 teams of NDRF continue to be deployed.

Human deaths

- As per provisional information received from the affected States/UTs 16 deaths were reported during the last 24 hours raising the total death toll to 226 from 210.

IMD

- The upper air cyclonic circulation now lies over Jharkhand and adjoining Orissa extending upto mid-tropospheric levels and has caused fairly widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy falls over Orissa and Chhattisgarh. The current rainfall activity is likely to continue over the area during next 24 hours.

- Fairly widespread rainfall activity with isolated heavy falls is likely over Indo-Gangetic plains and adjoining central India during next 2-3 days.

- Strong southwesterly winds along the west coast is likely to cause fairly widespread rainfall with isolated heavy falls over coastal Kerala, Karnataka, Konkan and Goa.

CWC

- There are 02 Moderate and 13 Low flood situation sites in the country. There is no unprecedented or high flood situation site in the country.
