Sri Lanka: 13 Air strikes launched on LTTE resistant points

MULLAITTIVU: SLAF MI 24 Fighter Helicopters and fighter jets carried out 13 air strikes on LTTE terrorists resistant points in south and south east of PUDUKUDUERIPPU area between 8.10am yesterday(03) and 5.45pm today(04). The air strikes were launched for the support of Task force IV troops and 59 Division who are conducting operations in the area.

SLAF MI-24 Fighter Helicopters launched air strikes on LTTE terrorist's resistance point in PUDUKUDUERIPPU around 8.10pm yesterday (03). At 9.40pm on the same day MIG fighter jets launched air strikes while at 10.50pm MI 24 helicopters launched air attacks.

Around 12.20am this morning (04) SLAF fighter jets pounded the target while at 1.55am, 4.45am MI 24 Helicopters launch air raids. Meanwhile today (04) SLAF fighter jets once again launched air raids around 11.10am, 1.45pm, 2.45pm, 3.15pm, 4.15pm, 5.15pm and 5.45pm

These air strikes were launched to support the Army troops of the 59 Division and Task force IV who are advancing in the area. Air force sources confirm that the air strike hit the targets accurately, causing heavy losses to the LTTE.
