COLOMBO, Jan 27 (Reuters) - Two people were killed on Wednesday when a grenade was thrown into a Buddhist temple in the central Sri Lanka town of Gampola, as the nation remained tense in the aftermath of Tuesday's presidential election.
"A grenade was lobbed into a temple, killing a priest and a civilian. Four others were wounded," military spokesman Brigadier Udaya Nanayakkara said. He said it was too early to tell if the attack was related to the results of the election. (Reporting by Ranga Sirilal and Shihar Aneez; Editing by Bill Tarrant)
