OAS condemns attack of FARC against civilians in Colombia

The Organization of American States (OAS) condemns the recent acts perpetrated by the Mariscal Sucre column of the FARC against civilians in the locality of Ospina Perez in the department of Nariño, Colombia.

"The acts perpetrated constitute a serious violation of the treaties of international humanitarian law and an act of unjustified violence against innocent people," said José Miguel Insulza, the Secretary General of the OAS.

The OAS repudiates this type of action and calls for it to stop in all regions of the country.

The OAS expresses its full solidarity with the families of the victims and requests the authorities to conduct the necessary investigations and support the families of the victims of this bloody incident.
