Calm returns to Lakes State after recent tribal clashes

The Advisor for Peace in the Lakes State government, Andrea Mabior, confirmed to Miraya FM the return to calm in the region following recent tribal clashes.

More than forty people were killed in fights between the Dinka and Mundari tribes. Mabior said the state's authorities have contained the situation, but stressed that security is still threatened by neighboring states.

Meanwhile, Mabior said the voter registration process in the State is progressing well. However, he added some areas are still being hindered by transportation problems.
