The Tangerang municipality has coordinated with 13 districts in anticipation of floods following heavy rain over the past few days.
Nation Unity and People's Protection Board chief Suli Rosadi said in Tangerang on Wednesday the taskforce for flood handling had worked in cooperation with all parties responsible for it including volunteers, local residents and university students.
He said the taskforce had also organized equipment to handle flooding.
It is focusing on 24-hour monitoring of several flood-prone areas in Cileduk, Periuk, Cipondoh and Pinang districts.
