Level IV emergency response has been issued


Influence by both cold and warm air, Central Meteorological Office issues orange snowstorm warning. It is predicted that from this daytime to tonight, north part of western Sichuan Plateau, eastern Hubei, northeastern Hunan, central and southern Anhui, central and southern Jiangsu and northern Jiangxi will suffer heavy snow. Central and southern Anhui, some places of central by west of Jiangsu, southeastern Hubei and northern Jiangxi will suffer snowstorm. The precipitation will be 10 to 15mm, in some places it will be over 20mm. In addition, central by west of Guizhou will get icy rain. The bad weather in these places will influence the traffic, agricultural and stock raising production and urban function.

In view of the above-mentioned conditions, the Emergency Response Office of CMA, Department of Emergency Response, Disaster Mitigation and Public Services, Department of Forecasting and Information System, Department of Integrated Observations, National Climate Center, National Satellite Meteorological Center, National Meteorological Information Center, National Climate Center, Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences, CMA Public Weather Service Center, China Meteorological News Press, Huafeng Group as well as Hubei, Hunan, Anhui, Jiangsu and Guizhou meteorological bureaus immediately enter into the emergency responsive state.
