* BAGHDAD - A roadside bomb exploded near a car carrying the judge of an appeals court, wounding two people in eastern Baghdad, a source in the Ministry of Interior said. The judge was unhurt.

BAGHDAD - A bomb attached to a parked car exploded near a police patrol, wounding six policemen in eastern Baghdad, police said.

MOSUL - Gunmen opened fire on an Iraqi army checkpoint, killing one soldier and wounding another in Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, police said.

BAGHDAD - A suicide bomber drove a car packed with explosives into a crowd of police officers at shift change outside a police station in Baghdad's southwestern Amil district, killing four and wounding 12, a source in Iraq's Interior Ministry said.

MAHMUDIYA - A roadside bomb exploded near Mahmudiya's city council building, wounding eight employees, including the head of the council and his assistant, a source in the Interior Ministry said. Mahmudiya is 30 km (20 miles) south of Baghdad.

BAGHDAD - A sticky bomb attached to a vehicle wounded two people in Baghdad's central Aalawi district, a source in the Interior Ministry said.

QAIM - A sticky bomb attached to a car carrying Shihab Ahmed Salah, the head of al-Ubaidi hospital, seriously wounded him on Saturday in the town of Qaim, 300 km (185 miles) west of Baghdad, a source in the Interior Ministry said.

BAGHDAD - A roadside bomb exploded near a police patrol on Saturday, wounding two policemen in the Saidiya district of southern Baghdad, a source in the Interior Ministry said.

MOSUL - A joint Iraqi-U.S. military operation killed four suspected al-Qaida members and resulted in the arrest of three south the city of Mosul, 390 km (240 miles) north of Baghdad, the U.S. military said in a statement on Saturday.
