Eritrea: Health center in Molqi rendering efficient service to the public


Molqi, 23 November 2009 - The inhabitants of Molqi expressed satisfaction with the provision of efficient service on the part of the health center in the area.

They said that the center is playing significant role in promoting public health and improving their standard of living. The number of pregnant mothers who make regular checkups and give birth in health stations is also being enhanced thanks to the opening of the center.

The head of the center, Mr. Tesfai Woldeslasie, stated that over 19,000 nationals received the necessary medical service, and that the spread of communicable diseases in the area has been put under control as a result of the growing public awareness.

Reports indicated that the necessary measures were taken to control malaria infection before the onset of the rainy season, and that the continuous campaigns and lectures are bearing fruitful outcome.

There are 5 health institutions in Molqi sub-zone.
