The signing ceremony of RCSC for Sichuan earthquake reconstruction project phase III was held in Chengdu, Sichuan, on 16th, October.
The executive vice president of Red Cross Society of China Jiang Yiman, the Party Secretary of Sichuan Red Cross Wen Jiabi, the vice mayor of Chengdu and chairman of Chengdu Red Cross Fu Yonglin have presented.
Representatives from RCSC, Sichuan Red Cross, and 13 municipal and county governments signed on the Third Phase Protocol of RCSC Aiding Sichuan Disaster-Hit Areas Reconstruction Project. It is reported that the third phase of the project involves 239 post-disaster reconstruction projects in 49 counties (cities, districts) of 17 cities, including 46 hospitals, 60 schools, 125 health stations (including Jet Li One Fund-raising for 100 health posts), 8 disaster prevention and mitigation facilities, which total amounts of 209.93 million yuan.
On behalf of RCSC, Ms. Jiang Yiman showed her cordial greetings to the people of disaster-hit areas and briefly introduced the disaster-relief and reconstruction situation of RCSC and Red Cross branches of all levels.
She said that disaster rebuilding was a very difficult and important work, and hoped that red cross branches of disaster-hit areas paid great attention to it, strengthen management and enhance supervision to complete the task with high quality.
Ms. Wen Jiabi expressed her appreciation to RCSC for reconstruction and said that red cross branches in disaster areas should support the rebuilding project, strengthen organizing leadership to project and intensify team cooperation.
A total of 70 delegates and reports attended the ceremony.
