Jakarta - Houses at Cieunteung village, Baleendah district in Bandung regency, West Java, have been submerged by flood water for one week now, Kompas.com reported Sunday.
About 70 Cieunteng families are now taking refuge at the local office of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle.
The long flooding, resulted from the overflow from the Citarum river, has caused at least two houses to collapse.
As of Sunday morning, in some parts of the village, water was still 50 centimeters high, but water had been receding in some areas, prompting the people to return to their houses.
