11 million citizens registered for voting up to now all over Sudan


Khartoum, Nov. 28 (SUNA) - The number of citizens who registered their names at the registration centers for voting in the coming elections all over Sudan has reached around 11 million citizens up to November 28, said a reliable source at the National Elections Commission.

The source said that 269288 citizens have registered in Wohda State, 151988 citizens registered in West Bahral-Ghazal State and 654904 citizens registered for voting in Kassala State. He said that 863847 were registered for voting in South Darfur State, 1536473 citizens registered in Khartoum State, 313779 in Central Equatoria State, 428199 in Gedarif State and 464241 in the Red Sea State.

The source said that up to now there were 441009 Sudanese expatriated registered for voting in Saudi Arabia, 5172 citizens registered in Qatar, 2105 citizens registered in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and 3000 Sudanese citizens in Libya have registered for voting in the coming elections.

The source said that the registration centers will remain open for the citizens during Eid Al-Adha Vacation, explaining that the period for registration of voters will continue till December 7. MO/MO
