In his capacity as a WFP Ambassador Against Hunger, the former President of Ghana John Kufuor is in Ethiopia (16-18 November). The Ambassador will visit two WFP/Government projects – MERET and food for education in Oromiya region – and meet with the Government and AU. MERET (disaster reduction programme) will showcase climate change adaptation.

Planning for round seven of relief food distribution was finalized by WFP, DRMFSS, and JEOP (Joint Emergency Operation), targeting 6.2 million beneficiaries. Food allocations are being prepared. Meanwhile, dispatches for round six are ongoing.
