The Humanitarian Aid Commissioner, Hasabo Mohammed Abdel Rahman, announced that the government has plans to close down displaced camps in the greater Darfur region by early next year. Hassabo said the government is considering various options. He said the plans are either through the distribution of land to displaced people in towns or to repatriate them back to their villages.
