Summary :

Initial report as of July 21, 2009

- Three hundred (300) families composed of 1,340 persons were displaced and sought temporary refuge for shelter inside the Municipal Gym in Barangay Poblacion, New Bataan.

- The local government of New Bataan facilitated the evacuation while the Municipal Disaster Coordinating Council provided relief commodities for their displaced constituents.

- DSWD Field Office (FO) XI is assisting the LGU in the conduct of rapid assessment on the situation and other needs of the affected population.

- P106,480.00 worth of relief assistance was provided to the victims.

- No casualties nor damaged to properties were reported.

- The FO has sufficient standby funds (P307,491.00), and stockpile of relief commodities composed of food (P70,214.58) and non-food (P320,000.00) ready for augmentation/assistance, whenever necessary.
