Crown Prince presents 12 tons of dates to Palestinian people in Lebanon


Beirut, August 26. - Saudi ambassador to Lebanon Ali bin Saeed Awwad Assiri handed over today to UN Relief Agency for Palestine refugees (UNRWA) in Lebanon, about 12 tons of dates presented as a gift from the Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, to the Palestinian refugees in Lebanon on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan.

Assiri conveyed also the congratulations of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud; Crown Prince and Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, to the Palestinian people on the occasion of the blessed month of Ramadan.

For his part, the Charge d'affaires of the Embassy of Palestine in Lebanon Khalil Al-Halabi, expressed thanks to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its prudent leadership for this blessed gift.

On other hand, the UNRWA's representative Laila Qissi said in a speech "In the name of UNRWA, we thank the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for this generous gesture in this blessed month".
