I. SITUATION OVERVIEW

A. Highlights

- The number of affected population increased from 533,856 families / 2,546,101 individuals to 629,317 families / 2,926,128 persons in 4,319 barangays, 356 municipalities, and 35 cities in 27 provinces in Regions l, II, III, IV-A, V, VI, CAR and NCR. Out of the total affected, 17,980 families / 85,129 persons are currently staying inside 191 evacuation centers. (Tab A)

- There are now 552 reported casualties (Tab B) with the following breakdown:

315 DEAD

Region I - 64: (19 in Pangasinan, 1 in Ilocos Sur, 1 in Ilocos Norte, and 43 in La Union)

CAR - 238: (Benguet, Kalinga, Abra, Ifugao; and Mt Province)

Region III - 8: (3 in Nueva Ecija, and 4 in Pampanga and 1 in Tarlac)

Region IV-A - 1: (1 in Quezon Province)

Region V - 4: (3 in Camarines Sur and 1 in Naga City)

The reported deaths in CAR were largely due to landslides while the rest in other regions are due to drowning

Region I - 47: (4 in Ilocos Norte, 43 in Uniom

Region II - 7: (6 in Cagayan and 1 in Tuguegarao City)

52 MISSING - 37 in Benguet, 1 in Ilocos Norte, 6 in La Union, 5 in Pangasinan, 1 in Cagayan, 1 in Nueva Ecija and 1 in Pampanga )
