Delhi, India – Assigned to the CDC Global Disease Detection Program, the VMO will provide veterinary expertise to help strengthen capacity in detecting and responding to zoonotic diseases and enhance partnerships between the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Health. Anticipated appointment date is Fall 2010.
These positions are two-year term appointments. The appointment may be extended based on the needs of the agency without further competition.
Qualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree. Knowledge and experience in epidemiology and public health concepts, principles, practices, methods and techniques is required.
Medical clearances are required for the assignee and all family members before being posted overseas. Inability to secure medical clearances will result in termination of appointment.
