Action Contre la Faim is a non-governmental organisation. It intervenes in 40 countries and implements nutrition and health, food security, water sanitation and hygiene, and advocacy programmes. On the international level, Action Contre la Faim is also present in Paris, London, Madrid, New York and Montreal.
We are looking for: A MEDICO-NUTRITION COORDINATOR (M/F)
Country: Bangladesh
General objective: ACF overall Nutrition strategy in Bangladesh is to advocate for the integration of facility and community based detection and treatment of Severe Acute Malnutrition in the Bangladesh health system and to respond to emergencies.
Responsibilities:
- To strengthen the collaboration of ACF with national, institutional and international partners
- To work on the Severe Acute Malnutrition guideline and strategy of implementation within the SAM subgroup
- To follow the evolution of the nutritional situation within the country
- To supervise and set up the nutrition programs
- To elaborate and run a CMAM training strategy
- To ensure the quality of the intervention and coordination with operations
- To supervise the Nutrition team
- To supervise and set up operational research projects
- To capitalise on ACF nutrition experience in Bangladesh
- To propose new guidance’s/advices for potential interventions
Qualification and previous experience:
- Qualified Nutrition coordinator with extensive CTC experience.
- Experience of dealing with authorities and working on National policies and guidelines
- Good team motivator.
- Ability to have a broad vision integrating different aspects (logistics, context, food security, culture & traditions, etc.)
- Capacity to manage from a distance and to delegate.
- Experience in operational research would be a plus.
- Strong experience with ACF nutrition programs

Length of contract: 12 months
Status: Employee:
- Fixed-term contract
- All expenses paid in the field: travel out/return, collective or individual accommodation depending on position and family, meals and hygiene expenses
- Ability to take in charge accompanied position depending on position
- Monthly salary ranging from €1650 to €2150 gross depending on the position and experiences + Allowance of €200 net paid on the mission
- Social security, complementary health, repatriation insurance and contribution to a pension
- 2.08 days of accrued leaves per working month
- 20 days of extra leaves per working year
- Training of 2 to 3 weeks, achieved in Paris before leaving on mission
