NORTH SUDAN: FINANCE OFFICER
To start ASAP for initial contract of 12 months
An experienced accountant is sought to become part of the area management team in Darfur region, North Sudan.
Key responsibilities include carrying out finance and accounting duties in support of the operational team in Beiada locality. This includes reviewing and designing systems of internal control and building the capacity of staff in accounting and financial compliance.
The programme currently has two major donors and a budget of $3.6m per year. The role involves the management of finance staff and participation in field site management meetings and liaison with finance staff in the Khartoum office.
You must be able to learn fast, prioritise work with attention to detail in a fast-moving environment and work well under pressure. You must be a strong team player, prepared to live in potentially insecure conditions. All posts involve potential contact with children and the recruitment process will include specific checks related to child protection issues.
Salary: £ 19,643 Including competitive benefits package.
