25 months fixed term contract
Accompanied Partner Only

Save the Children UK has been fully operational in Liberia since 1991 with an emergency programme focusing on the immediate needs of children affected by war. The programme is at an exciting and interesting stage – having moved from humanitarian interventions to long-term development approaches with the aim of fulfilling the rights of Liberia children to health, education, and protection.

You will ensure Save the Children programmes implemented in Liberia are of excellent quality, able to attract donor funding and contribute significantly to national/global learning, advocacy and programme development. As part of the core Senior Leadership Team, you will contribute to the development, and/review of the country strategic direction and learning to strengthen programme quality and policy. You will be aware of, and be responsive to the country’s contextual realities. You will provide inspirational leadership to the thematic team heads and other staff and develop staff capacity to drive forward our thematic plans.

We are looking for a professional with substantial experience and skills in programme design, development, and ensuring quality implementation gained with an international non-governmental organisation and in a post-conflict or fragile environment preferably in Africa. You should have extensive experience and technical expertise in M&E in addition to excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
