(CLOSED) Support to Indonesia's Civil Society

Objectives

The overall objective of the assignment is to support the formulation of the grant component of the EC-Indonesian Cooperation Facility.

This will be achieved through the following specific objectives:
1. To prepare a mapping of relevant CSO/business associations in Indonesia, including an analysis of the constraints and opportunities for Indonesia's civil society as a driver of the reform efforts to achieve sustainable economic development
2. Identify needs of relevant CSO/business associations, and through that clarify how the EC could support Indonesia's civil society to fulfil its role as driver of reform
3. Elaborate project proposal, including all key elements for structuring a call for
proposals to support CSO/Business associations in the context of the EC-Indonesian Cooperation Facility.

The selected company shall provide one senior expert to undertake the mission. The profile of the expert is described below.

Expert 1: Civil society analyist
Location: Jakarta, Indonesia
Category: Senior

Qualifications and Skills

- M.Sc or equivalent in economics, business administration or environmental studies
- Fluency in English both written and oral. Knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia would be an advantage
- Excellent communications and presentation skills

Professional experience

- At least 10 years of professional experience in the design and/or implementation of cooperation programmes in the area of private sector development and environmental issues
- Good knowledge about the structure of the Indonesia's civil society in the area of sustainable economic development (trade and investment, environment, science and technology)
- Previous working experience in Indonesia would be an advantage
