Marie Stopes Madagascar is a results-orientated, non-profit, social enterprise, which uses modern management techniques to provide family planning, reproductive and maternal healthcare and allied services. The goal of Marie Stopes Madagascar is to meet the needs of underserved communities and dramatically improve access and use of reproductive health services in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Family Planning.
Operations Director / Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Marie Stopes Madagascar is looking for a highly experienced and dynamic leader with exceptional management and planning skills. This post will directly lead the management of Marie Stopes clinics, mobile clinics and other service delivery models, with over 220 team members.
As head of the Operations department, you will lead the transformation of Marie Stopes clinics into sustainable centres-of-excellence. You will ensure that all Marie Stopes services are growing. Your team will deliver this through world-class sales and marketing, logistics and procurement, communications, team motivation and new technology. Your attributes will include outstanding problem solving ability, attention to detail and customer-focus.
You will have a 5-10 year track record of success. You will have managed complex teams ideally with significant non-governmental or private sector experience. A sales and marketing background would be valuable. Knowledge of health systems, financial planning, team leadership and mentoring are highly desirable.
Whilst health sector experience is desirable, greater importance is attached to your passion, motivation and initiative to use modern management to achieve social goals.
The post is based in Antananarivo, but frequent travel throughout Madagascar is required.
