The Foundation’s mission is to support women in developing and transition countries to realise their economic potential by promoting and supporting women entrepreneurs.

The Cherie Blair Foundation for Women is now recruiting for an exceptional Administrative Assistant, based in London.

The role will cover the following core responsibilities:
- General office support including reception
- Data entry for accounts and expenditure tracking
- Filing and database management
- Assisting with project execution, administration and communication
- Organising travel
- Updating communication tools (website, newsletter, contacts, etc)

Other responsibilities may be added depending on experience and need.

The Foundation is looking for a highly motivated individual with excellent professional and academic credentials (BA/BSc at minimum) and charity/ development background. Applicants should have a passion for development and the issues covered by the Foundation and some previous experience in executing the core responsibilities.

Candidates will need to demonstrate a number of core competencies:
- Ability to work flexibly in a team
- Prior administrative experience
- Ability to communicate and write clearly and compellingly
- Ability to work independently and pro-actively

The Administrative Assistant supports the smooth functioning of the office and reports to the Director.

We are looking for candidates who can start work at the beginning of January 2010. Remuneration will be between £19,000 and £22,000, based on experience.
