Home-Based Assignment with possible trip to D.C. or Minnesota

Land O’Lakes International Development (IDD) is currently reviewing its international development portfolio with a view towards improving its environmental stewardship and adapting its interventions to the realities of the world’s changing climate.

Land O’Lakes seeks the services of a consultant with an extensive environmental assessment background specifically in the livestock/agriculture production arena to assist this process. The focus of this consultancy is climate change mitigation and beneficiary and ecological resiliency, although it is framed in the larger context of environmental protection.

Qualifications:

- Advanced degree in Natural Resource Economics, Ecology, Environmental Science, or related field;

- Minimum of eight years experience developing and/or managing integrated, international agriculture and environment programs;

- In-depth understanding of climate change adaptation, especially as it relates to global crop and livestock production systems;

- Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
