The International Rescue Committee, IRC, is currently renewing its proposal development consultant roster. IRC seeks individuals interested in acting as team leaders and writers on competitive USAID proposals. Individuals should be able to demonstrate experience producing successful proposals in the past 3-5 years. Proposal development experience in the following areas is sought: non-formal education, good governance, civil society, community development, community reintegration and reconstruction, economic development, market development, child survival, primary health care, reproductive health.
Team Leaders:
Requirements: willing to spend 8-12 weeks in developing world and post conflict settings conducting research, assessing local partners, collaborating on design models, etc.; hold a Master’s Degree or higher in topics pertinent to donor programmatic foci, e.g. health, economic development, education, civil society; minimum of 5 years field experience and be familiar with program design including log frames and budgeting; experienced in negotiating agreements with local and international partners as required; demonstrate leadership role in developing winning proposals and be prepared to produce a sample of a comprehensive program proposal.
Writers:
Requirements: willing to spend 8-12 weeks in developing world and post conflict settings supporting country offices in the articulation and production of competitive proposals proficient in word and excel and be able to analyze and synthesize a variety of material in a face-paced environment; hold a University degree and be familiar with topics pertinent to donor programmatic foci (see above); demonstrate significant role in writing winning proposals and be prepared to produce writing samples.
