UNICEF seeks a Quality Assurance Specialist for our Supply Division, based in Copenhagen, Denmark to, under the general guidance of the Chief, Quality Assurance, be responsible for overall supplier evaluation process. Maintain a centralized database of supplier related information and status. Responsible for establishing criteria and input for the development and maintenance of a supplier performance monitoring web site. Provide guidance to external and internal customers on supplier status.

The duties include:

1. Manages the supplier registration via UNGM website. Provides feedback to UNGM website owners on regular basis to improve UNGM entrance registration.
2. Responsible for the financial evaluation of suppliers.
3. Responsible for the coordination of the non-financial evaluation of suppliers. Coordinates related activities reviewing/ updating the supplier evaluation process and its steps within consecutive processes of supply chain for improvement (ensure the centralized database of suppliers related information and status covering all supplier evaluations aspects/ criteria is established and updated on ongoing basis).
4. Reviews/ updates for improvement the supplier evaluation criteria related to both financial and non-financial evaluation aspects working closely with all SD centres, technical staff and HQ Divisions.
5. Recommends changes to procedures regarding overall process of suppliers evaluation, incl. supplier registration, supplier certification and supplier performance evaluation for uniform application across UNICEF.
6. Provides advice/ training to the Regional and Country Offices as well as to other parties regarding Supplier Certification process.
7. Responsible for changes of SD website in terms of supplier evaluation.
8. Works on continual improvement/ optimization of supplier re-evaluation process.
9. Supports the process of allegations of supplier impropriety, gathering data on SD suppliers related allegation cases and analysing the data to support decisions on suppliers’ eligibility. Liaise with other UN Agencies, as relevant.
10. Coordinates activities related to monitoring supplier performance. Working together with Procurement Centres and the Operational Analysis Centre to establish web tools for supplier assistance and feedback, including performance and information on scores the suppliers have to achieve in agreed timing.
11. Provides supervision to bid registration process.

Qualifications and Competencies:

- Advance university degree in Business Administration (with a major in finance/accounting), preferably combined with some background in Engineering or Quality Engineering Specialised training in quality standards, e.g. ISO.
- Minimum five years of professional working experience in a commercial or an international organisation focusing on the analysis of financial statements/audit/finance/accounting/banking/ quality assurance/ quality systems. Experience in supplier quality engineering and in supplier quality assistance and development are assets.
- Ability to express clearly and concisely ideas and concepts in written and oral form.
- Good customer service skills.
- Good supervisory and interpersonal skills for team work.
- Good analytical skills.
- Ability to organise and implement training.
- Proficient in IT software, e.g. Microsoft Office.
- Good computer knowledge of IT business application systems; specifically EXCEL at the advanced level.
- Ability to establish harmonious working relations in an international and multicultural environment.
- Fluency in English and preferably in another UN language required.

The contract duration is for one year and contract renewals will be subject to availability of funding.
