Local Representative in Nicaragua

The International Organization Friends Of The United Nations Europe Onlus, located in Italy (Milan), is seeking a local representative located in Nicaragua, with a strong preference for the following cities (in this order):

no. 1) Managua
no. 2) Puerto Cabezas
no. 3) Prinzapolca
no. 4) Bluefields

Due to the gender equality supported by the Organization, female candidates are strongly encouraged.
It is not required a particual expertise or background, but a specific interest for sexuality and reproductive health issues are necessary.

The project for which the Organization seeks the local representative is a big educational and assistance campaign addressed to young women living in some at risk communities in Nicaragua.

To syntesize the local representative has the following tasks:

1 - link between our Organization and the Partners/Donors located in Nicaragua;
2 - link between our Organization and some other community based groups active in the field;
3 - coordination of various volunteers and/or groups active on the field, to facilitate communication between the Headquarters and them.

The payment will take place starting from the officially funded period, and will be function of the obtained amount.
These months (November, December, January) are used to strengthen relationship between the Headquarters and the field, requiring a minimum commitment from the selected local representative.

To sum up, the ideal applicant is:

- young woman living in Managua or other cities as described above;
- university student or postgraduate student;
- with a specific interest in sexuality and reproductive health issues;
- with a good knowledge of the English language.
