Project/Proposal Summary:

This multi-year USAID-funded project will work closely with Afghan government agencies and nongovernmental organizations to institute reforms that will increase public sector accountability and transparency. Reforms will be undertaken in public procurement, internal and external audit and control, government ethics, and instituting an anticorruption commission.

Position Summary:

The Chief of Party will work closely with government officials and NGO and think tank groups to manage the day-to-day operations of the project and interface with USAID, USG and other donor officials.

Responsibilities:

- Responsible for day to day project management
- Implement and oversee technical assistance to reform procurement system, internal and external audit procedures, government ethics and a new anticorruption commission.
- Manage the staff and subcontractors.

Qualifications:

- Demonstrated technical expertise in anti-corruption, and substantial experience on overseas legal, judicial and/or anti-corruption programs;
- Prior experience as a Chief of Party or equivalent on USAID funded projects;
- Previous work experience in Afghanistan, Iraq or similar environments;
- Degree in management, economy, finance, law, political science or other related field; advanced degree preferred;
- English fluency required;
- Strong inter-personal and communication skills, including public speaking and presentation abilities;
- Excellent team-building and networking skills.
