Location: Sudan (the) - Juba
We are looking for a Regional Representative for our office in Southern Sudan. The duty station will be in Juba where you will manage the DanChurchAid (DCA) Office with staff of 8 professionals and 3-4 support staff, management includes budget, administrative and human resource aspects moreover a small satellite office in Nairobi. This vacancy is considered as hardship and therefore a non family posting.
Main tasks
Ensure implementation and further development of DCA’s programmes in the changing and challenging Sudanese context in accordance with DCA policies and strategies. At present, programmes mainly involve reintegration, rehabilitation, food security and civic education and reconciliation activities in close cooperation with partners in three different programme areas in Southern Sudan and the transitional states, as well as activities with refugees in North Western Kenya.
Contribute to the development of the ACT Alliance in Sudan and the process of defining DCA’s role within it. Inter alia, this implies developing existing good working relationships with a number of mainly European church related relief and development organisations into close cooperation and strategic division of roles.
