NZAID is the agency within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade that manages New Zealand's official development assistance programme and provides policy advice on international development issues.

INSPECTORATE ADVISOR (2 positions)

One year position(s) based in Dili.

On behalf of the Timor-Leste Ministry of Education, the New Zealand Agency for International Development (NZAID) invites applications for the positions of Inspectorate Advisor.

The Inspectorate Advisor(s) will be based within the Timor-Leste Ministry of Education and will be accountable to NZAID and the Ministry of Education.

The objective of the role is to assist the Timor-Leste Ministry of Education to build the capacity of the Inspectorate and to improve the quality of education. The assignments will support the programme goal of achieving 'a National education system that is well coordinated and managed, and able to meet the needs of society and all the people of Timor-Leste.'

The two Inspectorate Advisors will work as a team, drawing on their respective strengths. Particular experience and knowledge of pedagogy and / or financial and investigative processes is desirable.

To be considered for the assignment(s) applicants must satisfy the following requirements:

Eligibility Criteria:
  • Fluent spoken and written English language skills
  • Minimum of 2 years experience of monitoring school quality
