(CLOSED) Finance and Administration Manager

Location: Democratic Republic of the Congo (the) - Bunia

Contract Details

- Minimum 1 year, 2 years preferable

Responsibilities

Responsible for all financial activities for the Bunia programme, providing accurate financial information, reporting and communication through various accounting functions, for field and HQ use. Organise and manage administrative processes to ensure the Bunia Programme functions effectively with integrity. Organise and further develop the financial / administrative processes to function effectively. Manage & train local finance/admin office staff.

Qualifications

- Certificate in business administration and or accounting / book keeping

Experience

- Experience in a financial/administration position
- Strong French (oral & written)
- Strong organizational skills and the capacity to analyze and prioritise needs
- Experience of working with accounting packages desirable
- Experienced in drafting spreadsheets, database programmes, financial reports desirable

Medair standard working requirements for the field

- Minimum 12 months professional experience in a relevant field
- Strong adherence to Medair values
- Strong English communication skills (oral and written)
- Familiar with Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Able to live and work with a multicultural team under difficult conditions
- Strong character traits, including emotional stability, adaptability, ability to handle stress, cultural and gender sensitivity, honesty
- Single or married - without children, no dependent children
- Successful completion of Medair’s Relief & Rehabilitation Orientation Course (ROC)
