Islamic Aid is a British relief and development organisation. We started our work in Pakistan in 2002, mainly through a group of volunteers. Currently our Pakistan programme consist of 3 primary schools, skills training centre, Mother & Child Medical Centre (land has been bought to expand this to a 25 bedded mother & child hospital) and a livelihoods/livestock development project, all in Mianchannun (District Khanewal) area. We have plans to grow in size, scale and geographic reach.
We are seeking a gynaecologist to provide quality medical service to beneficiary population and train local staff of the hospital and TBA’s. You will play a key role in the future development of the hospital and expansion of our services in the area. We have ambitious plans to establish a network of small to medium sized mother and child hospitals.
We are looking for
- Senior Medical Officer/Gynaecologist;
- Medical doctor with at least three years post qualification experience preferably in obstetric, gynaecology and general medicine;
- Basic knowledge of the principles and practice of public health;
- Preferably experience of working in an NGO set up;
- Good computer skills;
- Fluent spoken and written English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills;
This role will be based in Mianchannu. Salary Rs 35,000 per month.
