For its aid project in Mozambique, DWHH is currently looking for 1 Project Director.
The Project assists draught affected farmers in Chinde district/Zambesia province to diversify their crop production. As Project Director, you coordinate the operative implementation of all project activities. This includes cooperation with partner organisations and international donors, management of national personnel, as well as M&E. You are responsible for project planning, budgeting and administration. Your position requires frequent traveling to remote project areas in the Sambesi delta of Chinde district. Duty station is Quelimane.
We are looking for highly experienced professionals with extensive professional backgrounds in humanitarian aid, administration and management of development projects. It is a prerequisite that you have acquired some of your experience as an expatriate with international organisations. Steering project activities in the Sambesi delta requires long-standing experience in coordinating decentralized project sites. Moreover, you should be familiar with administrative procedures of donor organizations and managing personnel.
The position requires fluency in English and Portuguese and good command of German. Cultural sensitivity and interest in Mozambique are assumed.
