    The HDLC discussion forum is a resource for relief and development professionals to communicate ideas, request advice and advocate for various issues within multi-sectoral relief and development environment.

    It is a creative mechanism for participants to directly influence the scope and dynamic of vocational training within their particular field or sector of specialty.

    Periodically, the HDLC Discussion forum host polls and surveys on behalf of the community for research purposes and conducts "virtual" round table discussions monthly.

Global Food Security and Nutrition Forum (FSN Forum)

    The Global Forum on Food Security and Nutrition (FSN Forum) is a global on-line community facilitated by FAO. Set up in 2007, the FSN Forum offers an open and impartial space for e-discussions and resource sharing in food security and nutrition fields. With a facilitated email-group, a web-based forum and a dynamic website, the Forum allows for permanent, easy and high quality peer exchange.


    As of August 2009, over 40 topics related to Food Security and Nutrition have been discussed by over 1200 members from all around the world. All information on the FSN Forum’s discussions and a participatory database of relevant resources are available on its website http://km.fao.org/fsn/
