Ad Hoc Expert Group Meeting on mortality estimates for Iraq

The Meeting was held in WHO Geneva organized by the Information, Evidence and Research Cluster at WHO in Geneva, 10-11 May 2007 attended by temporary adviser from Iraq and other WHO department and Research institute The main objective of the meeting was Share information and experiences on existing national programmes, strategies and approaches designed to address safe motherhood issues in countries of the region, Introduce the recently developed Regional Framework of the Strategic Directions for Accelerating the Reduction of Maternal Mortality, with specific focus on MDG priority countries and Identify appropriate mechanisms to operationalize the existing national strategies for making pregnancy safer in line with the Regional Framework;
