Arrival of two aircraft with Greek humanitarian aid in Myanmar/Burma

Athens, 12 May 2008 - The first Greek C-130 aircraft carrying humanitarian aid for the relief of the people of Myanmar/Burma, has arrived on Sunday, 11 May 2008, at Yangon (Rangoon) airport. The Greek aid has been immediately and positively accepted.

A second C-130 aircraft carrying Greek humanitarian aid (medicines, food, water purification tablets and tents) has arrived today in Myanmar/Burma, while Greek Foreign Ministry officials have remained in Yangon to optimise coordination of the operation.
