Bam Earthquake - Environmental Assessment
Following an international request for assistance from the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran, an UNDAC (United Nations Assessment and Coordination) Team was deployed to Bam following the earthquake which occurred on 26 December 2003, click here to access the Mission Report. Joint Unit Assessment Mission in the Seychelles, February 2003
The Joint Unit is conducting an assessment mission to the Seychelles (from 31 January to 14 February) in connection with a tropical storm disaster. This second assessment (which is a follow up to a previous assessment that was conducted in March 2003, click here to access mission report) is expected to provide guidance and recommendations to the local authorities to improve the national disaster plan.
