Governing Bodies

The Joint UNEP/OCHA Environment Unit, through the unique partnering arrangement between OCHA and UNEP, is governed by two high level governing bodies

• Through OCHA by the UN General Assembly, and;
• Through UNEP by the UNEP Governing Council

The Joint Environment Unit has also established an Advisory Group on Environmental Emergencies (AGEE), that provides guidance and direction on its substantive work.
