AGEE 5

The 5th Meeting of the Advisory Group on Environmental Emergencies (AGEE 5) took place in Geneva, Switzerland from 14-15 May 2003 at the Palais des Nations.

The Senior-Level Expert Advisory Group Meeting on APELL took place on the 16 May. Please note that the 15th of May has been reserved for a joint meeting of the two groups.

General Information

Access to the Palais - Security Badges

In order to enter the Palais des Nations, all meeting participants are required to obtain security badges from the Security Identification Section, Villa Les Feuillantines (see map below) which is located outside the UN gates, providing access to Palais grounds. The Security Identification Section is open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm daily. Participants should allow themselves about an hour to obtain their badges and reach the meeting room.

Accommodation

There are a number of hotel options available in Geneva, in close proximity to the Palais.  Please note that the prices listed in the attached are indicative. Participants are responsible for making their own hotel bookings.

Transportation

From Cornavin Train Station:  routes 8 or 5, disembark at bus stop 'Palais des Nations'

Registration Documents

The registration documents below were sent along with the invitation letter. Please be informed that security measures have been significantly strengthened at the Palais des Nations and those who have not completed and returned the attached forms will not be provided access to the Palais.
