New Notification / Request for Assistance Form

The Section has recently updated its Notification / Request for Assistance Form.  The new form has larger text for easier viewing and is designed to more specifically address the response needs of those facing environmental emergencies.

In February, UNEP held the 21st session of the Governing Council at UNEP Headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya.  A renewed attention to environmental emergencies and the environmental aspects of natural disasters was proposed to delegations who fully supported more focused efforts in this area. All documentation, and in particular the newly proposed strategy for Environmental Emergencies can be consulted at the UNEP's Governing Council web page.
